Greek Goddess Artemis
Artemis is the ancient Greek goddess of the hunt. She led a band of nymphs through the woods hunting deer and other prey. She is most often depicted with her bow and arrows along with a fallen stag. (The stag represents Achteon, a man whom Artemis had turned into a stag for interrupting her during her bath.)
The name Artemis was chosen as symbolic of our women-owned and operated business and as a namesake tribute to our President and founder, Diana Julian Lewis. In ancient Rome, the name for Artemis was the Roman goddess of the hunt - Diana.
